DIY Macrame Pattern: Flat Wall Planter
This plant hanger is great for laying flat against the wall and will hold a small potted plant, an air plant, a wooden bowl, a jar with a start. It's your world! Get your supplies and knot away!
This pattern is for a beginner but would also be interesting to an intermediate beginner. It uses mostly the clove hitch knot, which takes a minute to learn and then you will be off on your way to knotted zen. Macrame is so very relaxing. Come knot with me!
You will need:
- wooden or metal ring, 2.5 inches or bigger
- your color choice of cotton string (4mm or smaller string/cord: purchase from local craft store, modernmacrame.com, niromastudio.com, or etsy.com!)
- scissors
- tape measure/ruler
- place to work
The finished hanger measures: 2.5" by 30"
The knots you will learn:
- larks head knot
- clove hitch knot
- wrap knot
